Krista Miller (Dancer/Choreographer) was born in Portland Oregon and raised in Boulder Colorado.  It was there that she received her early dance training with John Prinz, Robert Sher-Machherndl,  Barbara Demaree, Ana Claire and Becky Jancosko of the Boulder Ballet.  Miller went on to dance with Open Door Dance Theater and Robert McWilliams’ Movement Messengers.  At age fifteen Miller founded the acclaimed Movement on the Edge Dance Company.  She also frequented as dancer and guest choreographer for John Corsa and the New Vista Dance Company.  In the Fall of 2002 Miller began pursuit of a degree in dance at Sarah Lawrence College under the tutelage of Sara Rudner, Neil Greenberg, Barbara Forbes, Keith Sabado, Nicholas Leichter, Dan Hurlin, Emily Devine, Merceditas Menago, Vicky Shick and Wilhelmina Frankfurt.  While at Sarah Lawrence, Miller performed in works by Meredith Monk, Trisha Brown, George Balanchine, Neil Greenberg and Ezra Caldwell.  She graduated in May of 2006.

Stephanie Davis (Dancer) A native of Baltimore, Maryland and a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, Stephanie Davis has been dancing since the age of three. In addition to her training and many performances at Sarah Lawrence, she was a member of The Carter School of Dance, The Ballet Theatre of Annapolis, and the Annapolis chapter of the Royal Academy of Dance.  She has trained in both the Cecchetti and R.A.D. methods of classical ballet, but over the years her focus has become directed towards Contemporary practices. Her most challenging and exciting performances to date have included Yahiee and Taiko, (both duets with Cristina Jasen and choreographed by Krista Miller) as well as the 2004 re-staging ofMeredith Monk's Plateau #3. She has recently relocated to New York City to pursue both a career in dance performance and a masters degree in Dance-Movement Therapy.

Cristina Jasen (Dancer) A native of Buffalo, NY, Cristina began her training with such artists as Linda Kent, Sergio Neglia, Elaine Gardner, and Carolyn Adams.  She attended New York State Summer School of the Arts in Saratoga Springs, NY as well as Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts Camp in Colorado Springs, CO on partial scholarship.  In 2002, Cristina debuted as a Chorus member in a professional performance of Martha Graham's Night Journey in Denver, CO under the direction of former Graham dancer, Melissa McCorkle.  Cristina is a recent graduate of Sarah Lawrence College where she studied with Sara Rudner, Barbra Forbes, Merceditas Manago-Alexander, Keith Sabado, Dan Hurlin and Emily Devine, and performed in Meredith Monk's Plateau #3.  While a senior at Sarah Lawrence, Cristina was a company member of David Wes Dance and performed alongside the Adrienne Celeste Fadjo Dance Company at the Dance Complex in Cambridge, MA.  Cristina is excited to continue working with Krista. 

Miranda Jirrick (Dancer) Miranda Jirik joined Krista Miller + Dancers in the spring of 2006.  Originally from Minnesota, she earned her BA in dance from St. Olaf College in 2003.  She received her early dance training at Zenon Dance Company in Minneapolis, MN, where she also studied privately with Deborah Thayer.  While in college, she traveled to Ghana for a semester and studied traditional West African dance.  She will receive her MFA in dance from Sarah Lawrence College in May of 2007, where she has studied with Sara Rudner, Emily Devine, Rose Anne Thom, Dan Hurlin, Peggy Gould, Kathy Westwater, Keith Sabado, Barbara Forbes, June Ekman, Aaron Copp, and Charles Atlas.  Miranda currently teaches modern dance within the Physical Education Department of Sarah Lawrence College, as well as creative dance and ballet at Studio B Dance Center in Eastchester, NY.

Gillian Vinton (Dancer/Company Administrator) Gillian Vinton has been dancing ever since she could walk.  A recent graduate of Sarah Lawrence College -where she studied dance under Sara Rudner and other inspiring faculty- she has performed in the works of Meredith Monk, Trisha Brown, Neil Greenberg and Ezra Caldwell.  She performs with Jesse Phillips-Fein in addition to her work with Krista Miller + Dancers.  Currently, Gillian is working as a free-lance administrator for a number of dance companies and choreographers including Battleworks Dance Company, Jody Oberfelder Dance Projects, Cherylyn Lavagnino, Ashleigh Leite and Christopher Williams.
